FLINT TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (10/2/2017) - A Carman-Ainsworth Middle School student is the latest to report being targeted by a possible abductor.

The student told school officials a white car with Ohio license plates driven by a white man who was alone inside approached her at a bus stop near the intersection of Mandeville and Phillips streets around 7:05 a.m. Monday.

The driver asked the girl if she wanted a ride and then opened a door before the student ran home, according to a letter from the Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools.

The Flint Township Police Department and Metro Police Authority were notified about the incident and are investigating.

Several other students reported similar interactions with strangers and suspicious people offering them rides. None of the students were abducted, but several reported white cars and vans being involved.
