SAGINAW (WJRT) - (02/15/2018) - A possible gun threat forced Carrollton Middle School to go on lockdown just as a Thursday evening Valentine's Dance was ending.
A student told school staff that they overheard a group of students say someone had a gun at the event.
School officials put the building into lockdown mode as a precaution and contacted police immediately.
After a sweep of the building and students, no gun was found and it was determined that the threat was not credible.
Students were released to their parents.
At that time, parents were arriving to pick up their kids.
Police confirm no threat was made.
