FLINT (WJRT) - (01/01/2018) - A 10-year-old boy received critical injuries in a drive-by shooting on Flint's north side Monday evening.

Jacques Ja’mon Allen was inside the residence at 5501 Granville Ave. when a volley of gunshots rang out around 10 p.m.

The Flint Police Department couldn't confirm where Allen was in the house or how many other people were inside when the gunshots were fired.

Allen was transported to Hurley Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition Tuesday.

Police are investigating whether Monday's shooting was connected to another shooting that happened nearby in early December. Another teenager was critically injured in that case.

No suspect information has been released in either shooting. Anyone with information about either case is asked to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-422-JAIL.
