FLINT (WJRT) - (2/8/2019) - The classic cars are all in place at the Dort Federal Event Center.
The fourth annual Chrome & Ice indoor car show is officially under way. It will include informative vendor displays and brochures, but also live entertainment and concessions.
Rick Duvall, owner of a tribute truck, was able to transform his rusted truck in just one year.
"It's a 1947 Ford cab over truck. I bought it a year ago as a rusty, old truck, got it to the Back to the Brick show as a Rat Rod, and then we have performed a little bit more dramatic changes to get us where we wanted with the Air Force Military Tribute Truck. That's where we're at today, and we got an invite down here, and I was proud to present the truck today," Duvall said.
He felt a sense of pride attending the fourth annual Chrome & Ice.
"We were invited to the Back to the Bricks to have the truck up there and then now being invited down here was really quite an honor to me, so I'm really happy," Duvall said.
Other spotlights include a 1971 Ford F100, a 1959 Dodge Coronet Hearse, and Miss Chrome and Ice 2019.
General admission is $8 for adults, $5 for teens, and free to children under 12. The event will run Friday until 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
