OAKLAND COUNTY (WJRT) (5/9/2019) - A road construction worker was listed in serious condition after being hit by an alleged drunk driver while installing a sign in southern Oakland County late Wednesday.
Michigan State Police investigators say it happened around 10 p.m. in Oakland County's Lyon Township. The worker was on the shoulder of westbound I-96 installing a sign when a car hit him.
The 34-year old driver agreed to a blood test, which police say showed he was driving under the influence.
Michigan State Police troopers were still investigating the crash Thursday.
