CORUNNA (WJRT) (11/9/2018) - A Corunna woman was sentenced Friday to a minimum of 15 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to first-degree child abuse on her 6-month-old twins.

Tiffany Wilson already pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree child abuse. A second child abuse charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement.

The charges were filed after Wilson and the babies' father, Thomas Rowell, brought them to Hurley Medical Center for treatment of multiple fractures. One of the twins was suffering from a broken femur, according to the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office worked with the Corunna Police Department on the investigation, which concluded the twins had been injured while in the care of their biological parents.

Rowell also pleaded guilty in the case and will be sentenced in December.
