(04/17/18) One month from now, Crim hopefuls enrolled in the CrimFit Training Program will lace up for their first official training run.

Tuesday evening, they bundled up on a cold April evening to run a pace mile at the University of Michigan-Flint for team placement.

There's a group for everyone whether you're a seasoned runner or first-time walker.

The goal is simply to cross the finish line and make some new friends along the road to improved health and fitness.

Organizers say last year was their biggest year for participants with about 1,700 taking part.

The race director says they are on track this year to surpass that!

Rain or shine, the Crim Festival of Races will take over the streets of downtown Flint on August 24 and 25.
