Dozens of kids get discounted dental care from Hamilton Community Health Centers

FLINT (WJRT) (2/19/2018) - Discounted dental care for kids in the Flint area has turned into a President's Day tradition for Hamilton Community Health Network

Patients started streaming in early Monday morning to Hamilton's North Saginaw Street headquarters -- and to clinics on Clio Road and in Burton, as well.

Organizers were planning to help hundreds of families by performing exams, X-rays and fluoride treatments.

The clinic has held the discounted day for kids for the past eight years. Dentists say the earlier children are introduced to the dental process, the better.

"It's National Children's Dental Month and we always choose this day because most kids have it off and we provide a variety of things for kids dental like cleanings, varnish, if they need X-rays," said Tim McCarron, Hamilton's outreach enrollment coordinator. "So they can come in and get pretty much everything done that they need."
