FLINT (WJRT) - (2/13/2019) - Young people dealing with grief have a new place to heal.
Ele's Place is opening its new, bigger location on West Court Street in Flint.
The organization has been around in Michigan since 1991, providing peer support for children and teens who've experienced loss.
Since everyone deals with death differently, the director of the Flint branch said being able to talk with others is important because it can help kids find their own coping process.
"Death is often an isolating incident for kids," said Amy Krug director of Ele's Place. "So being with others that have dealt with something similar really does provide a great deal of support for them."
