ST. CLAIR COUNTY (WJRT) (9/13/2018) - UPDATE: Timothy Armstead was found safe at home late Thursday morning. His mother left to visit his school to see if he showed up and he apparently snuck back into his house while everyone was gone.

(9/13/2018) - An Endangered Missing Advisory was issued overnight for a 12-year old from St. Clair County.

Timothy Armstead was last seen at his Fort Gratiot home in St. Clair County. He reportedly left the home around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after arguing with his mother, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office.

She reported him missing after he failed to return home for dinner.

Police and K-9 teams spent hours trying to locate him Wednesday evening into the overnight hours.

Authorities pinged his cell phone, which showed it was located at a residence in Fort Gratiot. But the boy who had the phone claimed Armstead gave it to him at school earlier in the day.

The boy is just over 4 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve shirt with a snowboard on it and black track pants.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
