(09/29/19)- The FDA is recalling some dog food over salmonella concerns
The agency is warning pet owners to stay away from Performance Dog's frozen raw pet food, produced on or after July 22 of this year.
Samples tested positive for salmonella and listeria.
The FDA said the food is a serious threat to both animal and human health.
Dog food has come under scrutiny by the agency this year, not over concerns about bacteria, but heart disease.
