(9/7/2017) - Representatives from FEMA and the Michigan State Police are planning to update the public on the recovery efforts from June's flooding around Mid-Michigan.

Officials from both agencies, along with Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, are hosting an event in the Isabella County Disaster Recovery Center at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Heavy rains caused millions of dollars in damage around Bay, Midland, Gladwin and Isabella counties on June 22 to 27. So far, nearly $4 million in aid to home and business owners has been approved for the recovery effort.

Anyone affected by the flooding has until Oct. 2 to apply for assistance.
