BAY CITY (WJRT) (2/1/2018) - With Super Bowl LII only three days away, the Fabiano Brothers distribution facility in Bay City is stacked to the rafters with beer ready for party-goers.
Beer is stacked to the rafters inside the Fabiano Brothers beer distribution facility outside Bay City.
"It's a really, really fun time to be here, though, because everyone is ramping up big displays in the market," said Beer Sales Administrator Taylor Fillmore.
Super Bowl season is one of the busiest times of the year for the Fabiano Brothers distribution site off U.S. 10 east of Mackinaw Road in Bay County. The 300,000-square-foot facility has cases and kegs of beer for as far as the eye can see.
Warehouse Supervisor Curt Fritz said the view really never changes.
"You will never see a difference," he said. "What goes out comes right back in. You will never see a difference."
The distribution site is one of the largest in the state.
"Once it leaves the brewery, it heads here and we store it, house it and get it ready to go to your local stores, bars, places like that," Fillmore said.
Fabiano Brothers has 50 trucks that are fully stocked every day leading up to the big game.
"The trucks leave here about 4:00 or 5:00 a.m.," Fillmore said.
As the Super Bowl gets closer, the requests from area grocery and convenience stores get bigger.
"Especially with the larger chain stores like Kroger, Meijer, you get a lot more of the pallet-sized deliveries," Fillmore said.
Fabiano Brothers has 500 employees in the Bay City warehouse, some working overtime to make sure all the shipments make it by Sunday.
"You see the beer all ready, yes very busy," Fritz said. "Everybody loves their beer so we have to get it out to them."
