(080/2/19) - About 40 firearms are missing from a mid-Michigan gun store.

The heist was pulled off at the Showtime Guns and Ammo business on Bay Road in Saginaw Township around 3:00 a.m. Investigators say the surveillance video shows four people inside after breaking a window to gain access to the building.

Steve Myrick owns Grains and Greens across the parking lot. He says someone tried breaking into the gun store a couple of years ago. "The last time they tried to go through the roof."

Police say owners reported the break-in before the store opened.

While there is ammunition and fireworks inside as well, the only thing missing were the firearms.

"When they first moved in, you get people that are concerned about it, I had concerns," Myrick admits. "But they have quite a bit of surveillance equipment, so I actually thought it made us safer."

Saginaw Township Police and Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives investigators are looking through that surveillance video to see if the people who pulled this off could be linked to several gun store break ins across the state. Southwest Michigan had at least four last month.

Anyone with information about this break-in is asked to call 1-800-ATF-GUNS.
