No one home at time of Fenton house fire

FENTON (WJRT) - UPDATE (09/14/16) - The Fenton Fire Chief tells us fortunately no one was inside a home that caught fire around 7:30 Wednesday morning.

The homeowner was up north.

Crews had to back out of the home because it became fully engulfed in flames.

One firefighter was sent to the hospital with an ankle injury.

The fire chief tells us the home is a total loss and the fire is under investigation.

(09/14/16) - Fire officials in Fenton are still searching for anyone who may have been inside a home when it went up in flames Wednesday morning.

The Fenton fire chief tells us crews were called to the scene around 7:30 a.m.

They actually had to back out of the home because it became fully engulfed in flames.

One firefighter was sent to the hospital with an ankle injury.

It's not certain if anyone was inside at the time, but crews are still looking for any possible occupants.

The fire chief tells us the home is a total loss.
