FLINT (WJRT) (11/27/2017) - Flint City Councilman Eric Mays will not spend any time behind bars after being charged for pawning his city-issued laptop nine times over the course of two years.

Judge William H. Crawford II sentenced Mays to pay a $300 fine and put in a week's worth of community service on the Genesee County sheriff's work detail.

Mays pleaded no contest in August to a single misdemeanor charge of willful neglect by a public official. A no contest plea is not an admission of guilt but is treated as such at sentencing.
