FLINT (WJRT) (1/8/2019) - The Hamilton Community Health Network is hosting two focus group meetings to discuss ways to curb crime in the Brownell Holmes Neighborhood.
The meetings, which are open to the public, are part of a $1 million initiative to reduce crime and revitalize the north side of Flint.
The meetings are scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Holmes STEM Academy at 6602 Oxley Drive and 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Hasselbring Senior Center at 1002 W. Home Ave.
Neighbors will discuss safety concerns and their opinions about how crime affects them, along with ideas they have for how crime could be reduced.
Organizers are focusing on reducing the current levels of aggravated assaults and burglaries in the area while fostering trust in law enforcement.
