DEARBORN (WJRT) (3/13/2019) - Salaried jobs are being cut by Ford Motor Company and workers in Dearborn are reportedly among those being sent home.

The Detroit Free Press is reporting salaried workers in human resources and administration at the Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn are being let go.

The move is part of the automaker's $11 billion "smart redesign" process to restructure the company.

Information technology jobs in China are also believed to be on the cut list.

Ford hasn't confirmed how many jobs will be lost, but plans to announce numbers during the next fiscal quarter.
