Former charter school board member pleads guilty to receiving child pornography
(9/25/2018) - A former board member of a Saginaw-area charter school has pleaded guilty to receving child porn.
Jesse Medina, 36, is the former school board president at North Saginaw Charter Academy in Kochville Township. He admitted to knowingly receiving at least 150 images of minors engaged in sexual conduct on his phone.
Medina was arrested in April at his home in Saginaw, which was near an elementary school. After he was charged, he resigned from his position with the charter school.
Medina faces at least five years in prison when he is sentenced in January.
