Graffiti found on Flint Police SUV parked in department's lot
(07/21/16) - Flint police say someone came in and wrote graffiti all over one of their patrol cars parked in the department's lot.
Most of the writing isn't legible, except one part that said "Free Breezy."
Captain Collin Birnie of the Flint Police Department says it wasn't a threat toward police. They were able to get all of the writing off.
The department is on high alert right now, like police all over the country. After police shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge, they're being hyper-vigilant.
Birnie wouldn't go into detail about all the measures they're taking, but says what's happening around the country is top of mind and will continue to be.
"We are very happy and lucky to have a community that we get along with. We are there to protect them and in times like this, hopefully they will be there watch out for us too," Birnie said.
Birnie says they are reviewing security cameras to try to see if they can find who wrote all over their car.
