MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) (11/6/2018) – Incumbent Congressmen Dan Kildee and John Moolenaar easily won re-election to new terms on Tuesday.
The Associated Press projected both would win their races with a third of results in.
Kildee, a Democrat, had a commanding lead with 59 percent of the vote with 37 percent of precincts reporting. This would be his fourth term representing part of Mid-Michigan in Congress, succeeding his uncle Dale Kildee.
Moolenaar, a Republican, had a huge lead with 65 percent of the vote with 25 percent of precincts reporting. This will be his third term representing the northern part of Mid-Michigan, succeeding Dave Camp.
