FLINT (WJRT) - (04/27/17) - A Flint man now stands convicted of murder.

A jury convicted Daryl Tibbs Thursday in the shooting death of 27 year old Travis Galloway.

It happened in September of 2015 at a home on West Patterson Street in Flint.

Police found Galloway in the basement with eight gunshot wounds.

Tibbs was seen leaving the home. He had been shot in the leg.

According to the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office, he claimed someone kicked in the door and started shooting, but things played out differently in court when presented with the evidence.

Tibbs will be sentenced at the end of May.
