DETROIT (WJRT) (4/26/2019) - Kelly Stafford, the wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, is back home after a two-day hospital stay for brain surgery complications.
Kelly Stafford had a tumor called an acoustic neuroma removed from a nerve in her brain two weeks ago. After initially going home, she returned to the hospital on Wednesday due to severe pain as she weened off medication.
She returned home again on Friday, according to an Instagram post.
The post says Stafford also is learning to balance again, as the 12-hour surgery to remove the tumor knocked out the nerves on her right side that control balance.
