FLINT (WJRT) - (4/12/19) - This mid-Michigan university started as The School of Automotive Trades back in 1919.

Kettering University is celebrating it's Centennial anniversary this year.

They plan to mark the occasion in a big way.

I "Can't Believe It"

It's 100-years for one of Flint's most influential institutions.

And to make sure they celebrate in style the university is looking to the music industry for help.

They're bringing a big name to Flint's 11-thousand seat Atwood Stadium,

"There we go. We're happy to announce T-Pain is going to headline our centennial fest. From grammy awards to chart-topping singles, rapper, singer, songwriter, producer T-Pain has done it all," said Dr. Robert K. McMahan, President of Kettering University.

It won't be just T-Pain helping to celebrate.

Kettering's centennial party will be July 20th starting at noon and running through the singer's concert.

There will be everything from a car show to 5 & 10k races, games, and local entertainers too.

The celebration is a free, family friendly event - although tickets will be required.
