FLINT (WJRT) (9/28/2017) - About 80 volunteers from Mid-Michigan Lowe's store gave back to their community Thursday by helping spruce up the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint.

The volunteers worked on three different projects at the North Averill Avenue, including a fixing up the coat room. They also created new space inside, added new paint to the team room and helped with some landscaping.

Lowe's is a national partner with the Boys & Girls Club. The volunteers on Thursday worked to make the facility more inviting for children.

"When the kids come in on Monday, they are going to have new nice areas," said Tauzzari Robinson, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club. "It's going to look great. It's going to be safe. They are going to feel really great about themselves, which is what it's all about. We want them to know they're worth it."

The volunteers work at Lowe's stores in Burton, Flint and Saginaw.
