(04/01/19) - The Michigan Department of Transportation has lifted weight restrictions on some state roads.

It says the changes that went into effect early Monday morning applied to the southern Michigan border north to and including M-43 in Van Buren County east to US-131 in Kalamazoo County, then south to I-94 and east to the M-102 (8 Mile Road) interchange in the city of Harper Woods, Wayne County.

MDOT says frost restrictions were still in place for the rest of the state.

The state says they will be imposed and enforced on all state trunkline highways north of the M-43, US-131, I-94 line.
