SAGINAW COUNTY (WJRT) (5/16/2019) - A Saginaw County man is heading back to prison after a jury found him guilty of kidnapping and assaulting a woman from the Marathon gas station in St. Charles.

Jason Cox, 44, had already served prison time for a sex offense and then police said he did it again, when he attacked a woman at a St. Charles gas station back in December.

Prosecutors say Cox hid in the 35-year-old woman's car when she went inside the gas station. When she returned to her car, he sat up, pulled a knife on her, made her drive to remote location and assaulted her.

She eventually was able to escape and ran to a nearby house to seek help.

Cox faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced.
