MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) (12/26/2017) - Meijer is recalling a variety of pre-packaged food products containing apples due to concerns about possible listeria contamination.

The voluntary recall includes 10-ounce Michigan Harvest Salad, 16-ounce Sharable Waldorf Salad and 18.9-ounce Fresh Cranberry Stuffing Starter. The products have sell-by dates in Michigan from Dec. 17 to 21.

Fresh Pak Inc. of Detroit, which supplies apple products to Meijer, received word of the possible contamination from its supplier Jack Brown before issuing the recall.

Anyone with recalled products should not eat them and return them to a Meijer store for a full refund.

No illnesses have been reported from the listeria concern. The illness, which can be serious for people with weakened immune systems, has symptoms of headache, fever and nausea.
