FLINT (WJRT) - (01/11/20) - Several Mid-Michigan roads were affected by a dangerous winter storm Saturday morning, making travel conditions challenging in some areas.

In Saginaw, there were reports of ponding along major roads. Anyone headed to the Saginaw area Saturday morning make sure to take it slow and watch for excess water on the roads.

In Genesee County, several road hazards were reported in Montrose Township, where a sinkhole is opening up on North Morrish Road and West Wilson Road.

In Gaines Township, West Grand Blanc Road and South Duffield Road were flooded. A drain issue in the 1300 block of Cook Road in Grand Blanc Township also was causing some problems.

Motorists are advised not to drive through any water over the road. Even relatively shallow water can be enough to wash vehicles off the road or conceal a deep sinkhole underneath.
