MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) (6/13/2018) - Students in six Mid-Michigan school districts will be able to receive summer food assistance.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is participating in the 2018 Summer EBT for Children. The program helps eligible families feed their kids during the summer.
Families eligible for the Women, Infants and Children program who live in the eligible school districts can participate in the program.
Food packages include $30 worth of nutritious items like milk, eggs and fresh fruit and vegetables. The program started this month and runs through Sept. 3.
Students in the following districts are eligible for the program:
-- Alpena Public Schools.
-- Bay-Arenac Intermediate School District.
-- Clare-Gladwin Intermediate School District.
-- Genesee Intermediate School District.
-- Midland County Educational Service Agency.
-- Tuscola Intermediate School District.
