MT. MORRIS TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (1/4/2019) - Police are still investigating a deadly head-on crash in Mt. Morris Township that left a 58-year-old woman dead and two other females seriously injured.

Police Chief Terence Green said 58-year-old Rosetta Morris drove a westbound Chevrolet Impala across the center line of Stanley Road and collided with a Chevrolet Traverse around 11 a.m. Thursday.

Morris was pronounced dead on the scene. The women in the Traverse were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, but Green did not have an update on their conditions Friday morning.

Investigators were still trying to determine what caused Morris to drive across the center line. Green said she may have been suffering from a medical emergency or become distracted behind the wheel.

Stanley Road was closed for several hours between Clio and Neff roads while authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
