Police: Medical condition could have caused deadly Flint Township crash

(11/18/19) - Flint Township police are working to figure out what led to a deadly crash Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. at Corunna and South Dye roads.

Police said 86-year-old Kenneth Saunders of Burton might have been suffering a medical emergency when he ran a red light while driving west on Corunna Road and crashed into a car. He died at the hospital.

According to investigators, the 65-year-old Boyne City resident driving the SUV that Saunders hit was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
