(08/19/17) - The 13th annual Back to the Bricks car show took place in Flint Saturday.

Thousands of hot rods and classic cars lined the bricks of Saginaw Street, with thousands of people there to check them out.

Saturday started with a salute to our military members.

There was a fly over, flag raising and special ceremony for the men and women of the armed forces.

The Michigan Catholic Choir performed a selection of patriotic music.

Director Dan Schmier said performing at Back to the Bricks was especially meaningful to him.

"My father was a marine, once a marine always a marine. And he instilled in us discipline that only the military can give to people. And so for us this is a great personal event for me to honor the military brothers and sisters," Schmier said.
