FLINT, Michigan (WJRT) - (12/04/2018) There was a tree lighting, a walk through the Applewood Estate complete with gorgeous lights and treats for the entire family.
But the highlight of the Flint Cultural Center's "Holiday Walk" was the arrival of Santa, on a shiny, red 1966 Buick convertible.
Parents had the opportunity to bring their kids to the Whiting to pose with Santa for free photos, and ask what they wanted they most this Christmas.
We caught up with Nataye Walke, a Flint mom whose two daughters were dressed in their best to meet Santa Claus Tuesday night.
The event is popular with local families. Those in attendance were asked to bring personal care items, clothing , and non-perishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
