ISABELLA COUNTY (WJRT) (5/7/2019) - A 47-year-old woman is accused of defrauding an Isabella County company out of more than $3.6 million over eight years.

Bandit Industries on Millbrook Road reported the fraud to the Isabella County Sheriff's Office in December. The company claimed it was overcharged for shipping products by a local trucking company.

Police investigated for five months, poring over business records and shipping invoices between Bandit and Stoney Creek Trucking of North Branch.

Investigators say 47-year-old Lorie Stuer, a co-owner of the trucking company, falsified records for shipping equipment for Bandit Industries dating back to 2011. She is accused of falsifying invoices and issuing fraudulent bills to Bandit.

Stuer is facing nine criminal charges:
-- Three counts of false pretenses totaling $1,000,000 or more.
-- Three counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
-- Three counts of fraud for obtaining signature with intent to defraud.
