Police search for missing Lapeer County teen with special needs

LAPEER COUNTY (WJRT) (7/18/19) - Police in Lapeer County were searching for a missing teenager with special needs on Thursday.

Metamora Township police say 19-year-old Sarah Anita Hobbs was last seen at her home Monday morning. Her parents reported her missing Tuesday afternoon.

Six agencies have launched an extensive ground and air search for Hobbs, who was believed to have run away from home for the fifth time in 13 months.

Searchers are asking residents of southern Lapeer County and northern Oakland County to check their property and outbuildings for any signs of Hobbs.

She may be wearing gray sweatpants, a black jacket and blue and pink tennis shoes.
