SAGINAW (WJRT) (6/12/2018) - More than 4,200 Consumers Energy customers were without power beginning late Tuesday morning around Saginaw.

The widespread outage includes parts of Saginaw, Carrollton Township and Zilwaukee Township.

Consumers said an unspecified issue with a main transmission line that feeds three substations led to the outage. Crews were working to determine the exact problem and make repairs around noon.

By 12:30 p.m., power had been restored to two of the three substations and crews were rerouting service lines to bring power to more people.

An estimated restoration time for everyone affected initially was listed as noon, but around 150 customers remained without power just south of Zilwaukee at 12:45 p.m.

Other power outages were affecting more than 2,000 people in Argentine Township and into Livingston County and about 50 people in southeast Midland County.
