FLUSHING (WJRT) (8/3/2018) - It's been 41 days since Parker Norris, a professional motorcycle racer from Flushing, was involved in a life-altering crash in Indiana.

The 19-year-old who graduated from Flushing High School in 2017 has been riding motorcycles at a professional level since he was 16.

Back in June, Norris crashed during a flat track dirt race in Terre Haute, Indiana, and got run over by another racer. The crash left Parker in critical condition with injuries all over his body.

But now the teen is on the road to recovery. His family shared video showing Norris taking some of his first steps since the crash.

He remains hospitalized in Indiana, but his family hopes to bring him back to Michigan on Monday to continue his recovery.
