(WJRT) - (08/23/17) - Concerns over listeria contamination has the U.S. Department of Agriculture alerting consumers to a chicken recall.
The department says fully-cooked chicken skewer products are being pulled from shelves at Costco and other grocery retailers in 7 states.
The recall involves West End Cuisine Grilled Mediterranean style skewers and Expresco Grilled Garlic and Herb skewers packaged on August 9 and August 15.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
Listeriosis can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions sometimes preceded by diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms.
