(03/07/19) - Flint definitely has the real estate, and a group of investors from Las Vegas together with a local property management company, have the vision.

"Just Renting - Flint" is the name of the reality show, and it could be coming to a TV near you.

"There's a lot of flipping shows on TV, but they only highlight the houses, and I think through the show here, we get to highlight other people. We get to highlight mid-American families. We get to highlight small business," Jack Galvin said.

Nationwide Property Partners buyer Jack Galvin has spent a couple of years in Flint getting to know the housing market.

"I think this is probably one of the lasting great investment values in the United States right now," Galvin said.

He teamed up with Gebrael Management CEO and Flint native Nadeem Gebreal to produce the high energy, interactive show.

"You're going to see everything from real estate purchases, sales," Gebrael said.

Through the reality show, which is being shopped around to different networks, you're getting a behind the scenes view of the crazy world of rental property management in the city where Gebreal's company owns about 800 properties.

"What people don't know is a lot of the apartments and condos downtown have waiting lists on them. Just because people want to live in the downtown area now and there are new spots for people to come to at night and it's a lot different than it was a few years back," Gebreal said.

They're still fighting a stigma and hoping to open eyes to what Flint has to offer. Each episode showcases a Flint restaurant among other things.

"The first thing people say to me is why would you buy a house in Flint, and so hopefully through the TV show, we'll have the opportunity to change the narrative and show people what Flint is really about," Gebreal said.

Right now his team owns 80 properties and 50 of them are rented. They're talking to multiple networks now and getting ready to film the second episode.
