SAGINAW (WJRT) - (5/20/19) - The Memorial Day holiday will have an impact on trash collection in communities throughout the Saginaw Valley region.
Mid Michigan Waste Authority says there will be no trash, recycling, or yard waste collection provided on Monday.
For the entire holiday week, it's asking its customers in 34 communities to put trash out one day later than usual.
People with a Monday pickup should instead expect collection on Tuesday.
And customers with a regular Tuesday pickup should put their garbage out for Wednesday.
The adjusted holiday schedule will affect 69,000 households across the Saginaw Valley area serviced by MMWA.
