Roofing in high demand around Mid-Michigan following wind storms earlier this year

BURTON (WJRT) - (11/09/17) - The race is on to get roof repairs done before wet snow makes leaks worse.

Mid-Michigan roofing contractors say repairs are going on all over the place right now.

Storms earlier this year have played a huge part in the surge. Business owners like Kelly Good, who owns Good's Roofing, have all hands on deck to keep up.

"A big rush to get everything done before it gets too bad," said Good. "But we're going to definitely be working through the winter to keep up with demand."

He added that he'll have more 100 to 200 more roofs to fix this year during what is already a busy time for business.

"It is a very busy time. You know, kids going back to school, a lot of homeowners waiting until after their kids are back to school and their schedules are back to normal again," he said. "So, we get a big rush in the fall to get things done before these snowflakes get bigger."
