During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence showing Bird sexually abused the teen while he was caring for her between Oct. 27, 2016, and Jan. 13, 2018. The teen became pregnant as a result of the abuse.

Bird threatened to take take away things from the teen that were important to her if she ever told anyone about the sexual abuse.
