MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) - (12/30/16) - It was slow going on I-75 in Genesee County on Friday.

A semi caught fire just north of the US-23 split around 11 a.m., causing the highway to shut down.

We're told the driver was able to get out and wasn't hurt.

Slowly, lanes in that area of I-75 have been reopening, but drivers have been experiencing slowdowns all afternoon.
