CDC warns of salmonella outbreak in Michigan, nationwide

MICHIGAN (WJRT) - (07/19/17) - The Centers for Disease Control warning people about a multi-state poultry salmonella outbreak.

There have been 18 cases of salmonella in Michigan since the beginning of the year, all linked to live poultry.

There are almost 800 cases nationwide.

Chicken owners say the hobby is safe and good for families. They say people just need to wash their hands after handling chickens.
