FLINT (WJRT) - (11/08/18) - The Salvation Army of Genesee County is continuing its mission of doing the most good with the kickoff of the 2018 Red Kettle Campaign.

The Christian organization strives to meet the needs of people while preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

They provide emergency services, summer camp programs and meals for people in need.

The bell ringers will begin the season tomorrow (Nov. 9) on Kearsley Street at noon.

The Christmas Assistance Program and the Angel Program are a big part of the organization's season of giving.

Organizers say they still need bell ringers to help out! If you do so you'll be entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 watch from Gaines Jewelry. The promotion is called "Time to Ring."

You also must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license and Social Security card.

The Salvation Army is planning to hire around 100 people to take part in the campaign. The pay is $9.25 an hour with bonuses possible.

Call 810-600-4497 to sign up.

Families in need can also still sign up. Learn more by visiting the link in this article.
