(06/19/17) - A sad update to a story we brought you about a missing leader dog named Brinkley who ran away from her new owner in Almont.

Leader dogs for the blind released a statement saying Brinkley's body has been found without elaborating further.

Brinkley ran off in May after someone accidentally ran over her leash with a lawn mower.

Monday, the organization reached out with the update, thanking everyone in the leader dog and local community for their tireless efforts in searching for Brinkley.
