Snow day: Children pack Dead Man's Hill for day full of sledding

DAVISON (WJRT) (12/14/2017) - Most schools in Genesee County closed on Thursday, giving children a day to play in the snow.

They found lots of fun ways to occupy their time, one of them being a day on a sledding hill. Dead Man's Hill in Davison had a steady crowd of sledders all afternoon.

Sledding down Dead Man's Hill is a highlight of the winter months many children look forward to every winter.

"It's awesome," said Dominic. "I'm getting kind of like -- sometimes I get bored with snow days but today is not the boredom day."

Sledding was the only fun activity at the hill. At least one group of girls enjoyed a snowball fight.

Dead Man's Hill, which is located at the end of Washburn Road, is open until 10 p.m.
