FLINT (WJRT) 02/22/2019 - It is a pretty typical day for Tom Brocklehurst if he hears the greeting "Hey Tommy" at least a dozen times an hour.
Tommy, as he is affectionately called, is ABC12's chief photographer, satellite operator, show editor and troubleshooter. He makes television happen for all of us at ABC12.
He started working in television 36 years ago. If his first professional story was any indication of how his career would go, it is no surprise that decades later Tommy is still helping reporters tell great stories.
Since that first story his adventures as a photographer has taken him to many places.
While Tommy was building his career at ABC12 he was also raising a family with his wife Pam and sharing his gifts with his community and his church.
He is a man of character, integrity and patience. Tommy leaves an indelible impression on the minds and hearts of everyone he encounters.
This weekend he is being honored with a Silver Circle award by the National Association of Television, Arts and Sciences. The award is given to professionals who work in television for more than 25 years.
