NEW ORLEANS (WJRT) (5/8/2018) - New Orleans Saints running back and Flint-native Mark Ingram has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's performance enhancing drugs policy.

Ingram will be allowed to take part in off-season practices and the preseason, but will not suit up in regular season action until the team's Week 5 game against the Redskins.

The 28-year-old was drafted by the Saints in 2011. Ingram is the final year of his four-year, $16 million contract. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

Last season, Ingram played in all 16 games and rushed for 1,124 yards to go along with 58 catches and 12 total touchdowns.
